What We Did This Weekend!

Linking up with Jen and the others who has challenged us to blog every day this week!

For once, we got out and did something FUN!  Actually, we did a lot of fun things.

Friday we went to Ryan’s works family carnival.  It was a great time and I’m really glad that the company puts on multiple (FREE) yearly events for the the family.  Chloe thoroughly enjoyed herself.

On Saturday morning we went to the Farmer’s Market, and as you know from this post, it wasn’t as ideal a trip as I would have liked it to be.  Next time, Chloe the Grump stays home.

Yesterday we went to the Taste of Edmonton with my sister Emilie and a nice young man she’s been seeing.  It was the first time in a very, very long time that I had gone, and to be honest I wasn’t overly impressed, but it was a nice family outting paid for by the proceeds of our bottle deposits refunds: $53 covered the $30 tickets and $6 parking (ehem, the other $17 was spent on liquor the evening before).  I highly recommend the onion cakes (2 tickets for 1 cake), the ginger beef (recommended by my husband – 3 tickets) and the Toblerone Gelato (4 very well spent/no regrets tickets).
